Congratulations on Taiwan Fu Xin's slimming cold brew tea to win the most honorable award in design field in Taiwan-Golden Pin Design Award

Origin: Year 1919

The chairman of "Fuxing tea" Mr. Zheng Fuxing established the tea firm to commemorate and express his gratitude to his father-in-law Mr. Huang Qingliang who had supported him in the past and taught him the value of tea drinking.

Mr. Huang Qingliang was born in Lucao Town, Jiayi County in 1899. Since his youth, he had studied Chinese herbal medicine with Chinese medicine practitioners (known as "Tangshan Xianzai"), and later resided in Xiancaopu area, Baihe Town, Tainan County to practice medicine and serve the community. In 1919 he founded the "Fuqihao" old teashop ("Blessings teashop"). Old Daddy Mr. Huang practiced medicine and collected old tea for living. Since the daily life of the general public was full of hardships, and it was not easy for the common people to afford expensive medicine, for the purpose of allowing patients to receive proper treatment, Mr. Huang based his prescription on the statement recorded both in Sheng Nong's herbal classic and Compendium of Materia Medica: "tea is the king of all herbs; its function is to promote the circulation of Qi and the movement of pulse...." "Adding old tea in the prescription can achieve proper efficacy."

Although Mr. Huang was illiterate, he obtained full knowledge of Chinese medicine; in addition to his affectionate personality, he often showed chivalrous heart and helped to resolve disputes or arguments in his neighborhood, thus won the respect of the local people and earned the title of "Illiterate Chief Strategist".

Old Daddy Mr. Huang had been profoundly aware of the benefits of tea, therefore he taught his children from their early age that drinking tea could help people "to achieve longevity" and that they should form the good habit of "proper tea storage"; he established his own value system of "old daddy collecting tea, descendants selling tea", and educated his children to value the tea collection and its storage, in order to increase the tea's value in the future.

Inheritance: Daughter's devotion to Old Daddy‧A lifetime career.

Old Daddy Huang Qingliang's youngest daughter Su'e married Mr. Zheng Fuxing at the age of 17. Su'e had learned everything from her father since her early age, and she obtained great skills in tea making. Mr. Zheng Fuxing had been in close contacts with the tea family and also inherited the concept of cherishing tea from his father-in-law. He launched his own tea business in 1969 in Tainan and changed the name of "Fuqihao" old teashop to "Fu Xin Tea House" which mainly sold "Vintage Old Tea" that was more than 60 years of age and the exclusive produced "Dragon Eye Charcoal Roasted Tea".

In the 50s to 60s, the Taiwanese tea industry was experiencing it s heyday, "Fu Xin Tea House" outlet also reflected such scene of popularity: one could often see the neighbors who enjoyed tea drinking holding their favorite "prized can" (small ceramic teapot for personal use) after dinner and gathered inside the tea house. And the owner of the tea house, Mr. Zheng Fuxing, being a hospitable person, would bring out his imported SONY projectors and played the Japanese "Inoki and Baba" wrestling for everyone's enjoyment. The guests would watch Japanese wrestling while drinking tea.

Innovation: A century of Fu Xin, Decades of Tea fragrance.

In the 70s to 80s, the birth of vacuum packaging machine had made the speedy rise of semi-fermented tea (non-fermented tea) thanks to their quick production, thus resulting in the decline of "half-fermented tea" and "Baozhong tea". Tea houses that used to producing tea in conventional methods, in order to survive, had been forced to change their courses and started to sell "non-fermented tea" and "frozen tea". The owner of "Fu Xin Tea House", Mr. Zheng Fuxing , facing the changes in the tea industry, had to adapt to new managing direction, but because he knew of the value of traditional old tea, he hadn't abandoned the original business ideal and he took up the mission of preserving vintage old tea. Thus in the "Fu Xin Tea Enterprise", there are still collections of old tea that are sixty or seventy years old, or even more than a century old that are kept in the cellars.

In 2002, Mr. Zheng Zhengyu, the eldest son of Mr. Zheng Fuxing, after witnessing the efforts that his father had devoted for preserving old tea, was moved by such spirit. Mr. Zheng Zhengyu was originally interested in rock music, but driven by the sense of responsibility and to extend the lifeline of the family enterprise, and also to rescue the declining traditional tea market, he undertook his father's management post, and transformed "Fu Xin Tea House" into "Fu Xin Tea Enterprise". A new page for the history of the Zheng family's tea business was thus written.

Mr. Zheng Zhengyu first used "postmodern" design to change the tea house outlets' atmosphere and recreate a brand new style of "health and taste".In addition, he made sure that information technology became part of the staff education and training. By implementing solid pre-employment training to all in-house professionals to enhance their understanding and skills on marketing, professionalism and tea culture; also by enhancing product quality and production technology to help winning the trust of the consumers on the company. As for tea products, focusing on special characteristics of Taiwanese tea, the company divides its product lines according to culture, altitude, mountains and production process into 6 main series: "Meridian Golden Harvest, Drops of Divinity, Highly Selective, Blessings and Lucks, Never Ending Legend, Pleasure Moment"; the company also developed high quality "Pleasure Moment" tea desserts and refreshments.

Presently Mr. Zheng Zhengyu has chosen "Minimalist luxury; health and taste" as the management guidelines for "Fu Xin Tea Enterprise". The ultimate goal is to create the image of healthy and stylish tea that is comparable to the LV brand name in the international tea sector. The company is committed to achieve the highest regards to its brand name and the internationalization of the enterprise, expecting to promote a worldwide fashion of tea drinking for health.

The advent of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games
"Fu Xin Tea Enterprise"- Taiwan Quality Tea series officially launched in China.
